ENVIRONMENT
Known as “the great valley of the Pyrenees”, La Cerdanya is privileged to be the largest European valley located at an altitude of over 1,000 meters, boasting more sunshine hours per year (3,000). In addition, its enclave on the border with France and its proximity to Andorra and Puigcerdà multiply the possibilities not only to make endless trips but also for culture, cuisine and shopping.
Besides trekking and hiking across the magnificent Natural Park of Cadí–Moixeró, the sources of the rivers Segre or Llobregat, some peaks as Tossa Plana de Lles or Puigpedrós… La Cerdanya currently has four golf courses, numerous rivers for fishing, equestrian centres offering signposted routes…
History, Art and Archaeology lovers can find out from the megalithic dolmen of Paborde in Alp to the Park of the Bunkers in Martinet, passing through small churches that are part of the Roman road or the archaeological site of Castellote in Bolvir, with a permanent exhibition and an archaeological workshop.
